BotArchive is the easiest way to automatically save content to your existing Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive or Box account. To make it even easier, you can actually print directly from your Android mobile device to your cloud storage! No need to open a browser, find the file, drag and drop it: any program that supports printing will let you save the content to your cloud storage. Here's how to set up a printer on Android mobile devices that connects to your cloud storage using Bot Archive.
1. Visit BotArchive on your Android mobile device at https://www.botarchive.com/home.html: tap Configure Storage if you don't already have BotArchive linked to your Google Drive. Once configured, tap the Settings icon:
2. Switch to the Print tab, ensure that the Enable Print option is active, then tap the Show Printer Configuration button. At the bottom of the modal, tap on the Android icon to switch the URL to the correct format needed for Android. Note that using BotArchive's print functionality requires a paid plan or subscription: once you sign up you will receive a free 7-day subscription, with no credit card required.
3. Copy the printer URL: tap on the icon to the right of the printer URL field to copy the value to the clipboard. You will need this to configure the printer.
4. On your Android mobile device, open the Settings app and search for printers. Tap the Printing option when it appears.
5. Once on the Printing screen, tap the Default Print Service item.
6. Tap the menu in the top left, and then tap the Add printer menu option.
7. Tap the Add printer by IP address option.
8. Paste the printer URL copied in Step 3 above (1) and then tap the Add button (2).
9. The printer is now installed.
Going forward, any document printed to the new Bot Archive Print Gateway/v2.0 printer will be automatically stored in your configured cloud storage.
