BotArchive is the easiest way to automatically send attachments, images, audio files and videos received over email and chat directly to your existing Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive or Box account. If you need to automatically save attachments sent to your Gmail account to your Google Drive, BotArchive makes it easy.
Here's how you'd save all your Microsoft Office invoices to your Google Drive. These invoices are:
We'll setup a Gmail filter to forward all matching emails to our archive email address. Here's how:
1. Visit BotArchive at https://www.botarchive.com/home.html: click Configure Storage if you don't already have BotArchive linked to your Google Drive. Once configured, copy the archive email address. (click the copy icon on the right side of the email address).
2. If you have already added your archive email address as a forwarding address in Gmail, you can skip to Step 8. Otherwise, visit your Gmail forwarding address settings at https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop. Click the Add a forwarding address button.
3. Paste the archive email address from Step 1 into the input field, then click the Next button.
4. Click Proceed on the confirmation dialog that pops up. You may need to enter your password or an authentication code depending on your Gmail account security settings.
5. Click OK to continue.
6. Gmail will send an email to BotArchive with a email address forwarding confirmation link: for security purposes we will send this link back to the sending account. Click the Confirm button once you receive it.
7. Once you click the link in the email address forwarding confirmation link, you can approve the confirmation process, and you'll get a confirmation screen as shown below. You can now close this window.
8. To set up the filter, visit your Gmail filter configuration settings screen at https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/filters. Click the Create a new filter button.
9. Enter microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com into the From field, Your Microsoft invoice into the Subject field, and check the Has attachment checkbox, then click the Create Filter button.
10. The confirmation screen will show matching emails. Click the Forward to check box, and then select the archive email address from the dropdown. Then click the Create Filter button.
11. And we're done: the filter is created.
Going forward, any emails that match the filter criteria will be forwarded to the archive email address, and the attachment will be stored in your Google Drive account!
Do note: this will not extract any previously received invoices. You'll need to manually forward any other emails you'd like processed to the archive email address.
